SEXUAL PERVERSITY IN CHICAGO was Profiles' first production at 4147 N. Broadway (formerly the Red Bones Theatre). Mamet's play follows a young couple who fall in love amid the singles bar scene of Chicago, while their best friends try to break them up. Set in various bars and bedrooms around the North Side of Chicago in 1976, Mamet uses humor and cynicism to explore the unending war between men and women.
"The production admirably confronts the ugliness while at the same time maintaining Mamet's grotesque humor. The final image is stunning!"
- Justin Hayford, CHICAGO READER
"Profiles' production clearly demonstrates the harsh sadness of a love affair spoiled by jealousy, ignorance and fear of the opposite sex. Convincing and disturbing theatre!"
- Cal Fuller, WINDY CITY TIMES
